What is the Sponsorship Program?
Each year, the Boosters has a goal to raise $30,000 annually. Marching band students are asked to approach friends, family members, and area businesses to ask for their support. To do that, we need the help of every family involved in the band program. We understand that some students may raise more and some may raise less, but working together we feel we can achieve our overall goal.
What is the money used for?
The money raised from these “sponsorships” helps provide for music arrangements, show designs, camps, awards and other items needed to support students in competitions and exhibitions, including uniforms, equipment and props.
How does it work?
Typically, your child receives a sheet of five mailing labels sometime during Mini Band Camp or Band Camp. Then, at home, they write the names and addresses of at least five personal and business contacts on them and bring them to the designated day at Band Camp. These labels are then used in a mass mailing that the students will work on that day.
We need your support …
Each band member is asked to raise at least $150 in sponsorships or donations. Please consider how you can help us with this fundraising effort. We all have contacts, friends, and family members who will respond to our student requests for support, and we encourage you to think carefully about who you can include in this mailing campaign.
Students, don’t be afraid to include your grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and even your parents! Parents, please reach out to any area businesses you may have a connection with and ask for their support.
